There is a similar case of a german group of comedians called Skit Sketch. Sad that it affected his life so negatively. He wasn't viewed as a comedian with an impressive reach, but rather he was the weird kid on the internet. Neither was he able to profit off of his content, nor was is properly understood in the context of entertainment media. The guy's videos unfortunately were ahead of their time and lacked a proper platform. I remember we would make jokes along the same lines at school all the time. The time these video came out were pretty much my early days on the internet and his "The real gangster" videos were the shit. I didn't even know that people weren't aware that angry german kid was a sketch.
